Summary

The IT company Andersen invites an experienced AI/Data Engineer to join its team for working with a company from Germany.

The customer is a German-based IT consultancy and software development company that specializes in creating tailor-made digital solutions. Their core mission is to help businesses unlock their digital potential through strategic consulting, modern software architecture, and agile development practices.

The project focuses on software development and consulting services in the field of Industry 4.0. The company offers customized solutions for customers, combining innovative technologies with a flexible approach and high quality of execution.

Responsibilities

Developing and enhancing agentic systems, such as generative-model-based helpcenter bots. Taking prototypes (PoCs) and deploying them reliably into production environments. Configuring environments (e.g., Docker, Runpod, Kubernetes) for running local models with sensitive data and streaming capabilities.

Requirements

Experience as a AI/Data Engineer for 3+ years. Proficiency in Python (Poetry) for dependency management. Strong skills in data analysis and manipulation using libraries such as Pandas and Numpy. Experience developing APIs with FastAPI or similar web server frameworks. Experience with GraphQL (e.g., Ariadne, Strawberry) for data querying and APIs. Understanding of data communication flows. Experience in system deployment and DevOps practices. Openness to exploring new technologies and tools. Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

Experience with testing frameworks (pytest, unittest) and integration testing. Knowledge of code refactoring and optimization techniques. Experience managing Python specific monorepos (e.g., NX, Pants, Bazel). Experience with modular architecture and structured code organization. Containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes). Database experience, particularly with Postgres and/or ArangoDB. Exposure to cloud platforms and GPU deployment environments (e.g., Runpod, Azure). Familiarity proficiency with vibe coding tools (e.g., Windsurf, Cursor).
