Merchandising and Analytics Associate
The Merchandising and Analytics Associate will play a key role in supporting the Merchandising Strategy & Activities in JTI Turkiye, tracking the execution and actualization in the field. This position is based in Istanbul and will involve occasional travel across Turkiye as needed. You will report directly to the Distributor & Merchandising Manager and collaborate with various internal teams, including Global Indirect Procurement, Finance, and Legal Departments.
Position:
The Merchandising and Analytics Associate will be responsible for the following processes:
Sales Support & Performance Tracking: Follow up on and report the performance indicators of the sales support teams.
Field Operations & Merchandising Activities: Track and report the activities of field operations and merchandisers, ensuring smooth execution of plans.
Route Management & Performance Monitoring: Develop routes for merchandisers and track their performance, ensuring alignment with market trends and preferences.
Report on Merchandising Operations: Report on nation-wide and region-wide merchandising operations, identifying candidate outlets for consideration.
Budget Tracking & Reporting: Track and report on the annual budget for both general and JTI shop-specific operations, including Display Unit (DU) procurements.
Coordination with Teams: Ensure effective coordination between marketing, sales teams, and other departments for relevant field activities.
Procurement & Invoicing: Manage invoicing processes for Display Units and oversee logistics and maintenance operations related to these units.
Contract Management: Assist with generating and managing contracts within the merchandising function, in collaboration with relevant teams.
Global Coordination: Coordinate with the Global Indirect Procurement (GIP) team for the procurement of price stickers and ribbons, ensuring logistics and invoicing processes are handled efficiently.
Requirements:
University bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering or a related field)Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG sectorWillingness to take part in a rotational development program within the Sales team, gaining exposure to different functions and enhancing cross-functional collaborationStrong analytical thinking and deductive reasoningProficiency in data analysis and strong comfort with numbersAdvanced MS Excel skills (knowledge of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP is essential)Fluent in English, both written and spokenGood command of Microsoft Office applicationsWillingness and flexibility to travel within Turkey as required
