Position Overview

As an OpenBetProduct Owner, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of key initiatives and features to improve the OpenBetSportsbook product offering, ensuring they align with OpenBet’s strategic goals and meet the needs of our clients and end users. 

You will collaborate closely with product peers, designers, developers and QA to drive the entire product development lifecycle.

The Product Owner is a subject matter expert who cares passionately about building the ultimate betting experience and solving customer problems.

You will be responsible for sharing the sprint vision with Agile teams and ensuring that sprint goals are met. This is a customer focused role, requiring you to keep on top of the betting + sports industry.

TheSportsbook Product Owner (Digital)will specialise in OpenBet’s front end experience, with particulaur focus on our native apps and mobile sites. You will care deeply about great user experience, removing customer pain points and solving complex problems.

You will work closely with Engineering and Delivery teams and collaborateclosely with UX, Commercial, Marketing, Customer Success and directly with our Partners to build and deliver market-leading products, journeys and features.

Key Responsibilities

Product backlog: Own the backlog for an individual product within OpenBet, prioritising features and creating new innovative improvements to your product.

Requirement Definition: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, acceptance criteria and KPIs, ensuring a deep understanding of user needs, market trends, and business objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, development, and QA teams to ensure the successful and timely delivery of high-quality features

Agile Methodology: Work within the company’s agile framework, facilitate efficient and effective product development cycles. Help the team to plan and improve their ways of working through retrospectives

Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), user feedback, and market trends to iterate on the mobile product strategy and enhance user satisfaction.

Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate progress, updates, and challenges to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organisationalobjectives.

Qualifications

What would make you the Product Owner we're looking for:

2+ year’s industry experience

Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Solid knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.

Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Exceptional organisationalskills and ability to focus on concurrent product initiatives.

Passion for staying current on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Bonus skills

Industry experience (Sports Betting or similar)

Experience building native apps
