We are looking for a Head of Legal department in Lviv.

ABOUT PROJECT

The Head of Legal Department is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the company’s legal function, ensuring full compliance with local and international legislation, minimizing legal risks, and providing business-oriented legal support to executive management and key stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

Higher legal education8+ years of professional legal experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial roleExperience working in a manufacturing company or with a manufacturing business is mandatoryHands-on experience in corporate, commercial, and labour lawIn-depth knowledge of Ukrainian and international legislationExperience in legal risk managementStrong negotiation skills and ability to work with complex stakeholdersUnderstanding of balancing risk and opportunities on behalf of the companyExperience interacting with government authorities and external advisorsStrategic thinking and strong business orientationHigh level of responsibility and ethical standardsStrong leadership, communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environmentEnglish – Upper-Intermediate

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic and Management ResponsibilitiesBuilding and developing the legal function in line with the company’s business strategyLeading the Legal Department (planning, prioritization, team development, responsibility for hiring)Advising top management and the business on legal mattersManaging legal risks and participating in managerial decision-making
Corporate and International LawLegal support of corporate matters (company structure, governing bodies, corporate documentation)Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts (supply, manufacturing, logistics, sales, services, NDAs, etc.)Supporting relationships with counterparties, contractors, and partnersHandling cross-jurisdictional matters and cooperation with the legal entities in Poland and USA
Manufacturing and Regulatory ComplianceLegal support of manufacturing operationsEnsuring compliance with industrial, environmental, labour, and technical legislationInteraction with regulatory and government authorities
Litigation and Claims ManagementManaging litigation and pre-trial disputesCoordinating work with external legal advisorsOverseeing claims and litigation activitiesDevelopment and implementation of internal policies and proceduresEnsuring adherence to corporate compliance principlesMonitoring legislative changes and implementing them into business processes
