Job Description
The main objective of this role is to develop a category management vision and category partnership strategy between the company (JDE) and key retailers in the market. The role also provides the sales team with expert shopper insights and tools, including fact-based arguments to support negotiations. In detail:
1) Category & Channel Development Strategy:
Develop growth strategies for categories with national key customers based on shopper and consumer insights, professional expertise, and in-depth understanding of current sales channels Based on the Strategy, create an activation plan and support NPDs in line with the strategic direction.2) Category & Channel Planning and Activation:
Develop and align action plans and calendar for category segments with all relevant stakeholders and lead the implementation.Define KPIs for category & channel development strategies and manage them.3) Category & Channel Activations:
Ensure availability of the right products (Must Stock List) in retail chains.Develop effective category merchandising guidelines and in-store placement standards.Build a category promotion strategy.4) Promotion Calendar Planning and Execution:
Manage the channel activation calendar, focusing on portfolio strategy and sales KPIs.5) Growth Strategy for Alternative Channels:
Develop strategies for alternative channels and e-commerce growth in terms of promotion, pricing, cost, and visibility.Create and manage the Picture of Success across all coffee category segments.Qualifications
Higher education in economics, marketing, or related technical field3+ years of relevant experience in trade marketing or category/business developmentDeep understanding of the FMCG marketSolid knowledge of sales, marketing practices, and shopper insightsStrong analytical and communication skillsPersonal leadership and a results-driven mindsetEnglish – requiredAdditional Information
