The British Embassy in Kyiv forms part of a global network representing the United Kingdom’s political, economic, and consular interests overseas. We are now looking for a Fleet Manager.
Main purpose of job:
Your will be requested to co-manage the Embassy’s fleet of vehicles, taking joint responsibility with one other colleague for securing insurance, regular maintenance checks, arranging seasonal tyre changes, repairs etc. Coordination with driving teams and some management of transport requests. The jobholder will also be expected to provide administrative support and provide cover for other team member in the wider Embassy Corporate Services Team.
Roles and responsibilities:
Procurement and management of vehicle insurance;
Procurement of vehicles and spares;
Arranging repairs when necessary;
Responsibility for fuel supplies;
Management of the Transport and Vehicle maintenance budget; forecasting monthly spend;Any other admin ad-hoc tasks that could arise, including providing cover for colleagues as required.

Essential qualifications, skills and experienceOur Ideal Candidate shows:
Good verbal and written communication skills in English (minimum B2 level or equivalent) and Ukrainian languages (minimum C1 level or equivalent).At least 2 to 3 years’ experience as a professional driver, holding a clean driving licence (category B);
IT literacy, including use of MS Word and MS Excel;
Previous experience of basic financial or budget management;
Strong attention to detail with good organisation attributes;
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team;

Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Kyiv is subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Ukrainian employment law. This is an official employment, and the salary is subject to official tax; currently 23%. The salary is a set rate and there are no additional allowances on top.
