Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day legal support across corporate/commercial matters (NDAs, service agreements, partnership/MoU, basic procurement documentation)
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts; prepare redlines and concise risk/issue summaries for decision-making
• Conduct legal research and prepare short memos, legal opinions and compliance checklists
• Support grant-funded projects end-to-end: review grant agreements and donor rules; advise on eligibility, procurement, reporting, conflict of interest, and amendments
• Prepare and quality-check application and project documents (legal annexes, declarations, partner statements, templates)
• Draft and edit regulatory and policy documents: concepts, draft laws/by-laws, explanatory notes, stakeholder consultation packages, comment matrices
• Perform comparative legal analysis, including approximation/harmonisation of EU legislation and drafting options
• Liaise with partners, consortium members, donors and stakeholders on legal comments and contractual/regulatory changes

Requirements

• Law degree
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in legal practice, consulting, in implementation of European legislation in Ukraine, international projects
• Demonstrated ability to draft or significantly edit legislation, regulatory and policy texts
• Experience within the natural resources sector would be advantageous
• Fluent Ukrainian, good spoken and written English
• Strong legal drafting skills
• Responsible, goal-oriented, ambitious and ready to work hard
• Demonstrating drive and resilience
• Good analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to learn quickly
