About the project:
Our Client is one of the world's largest fashion retailers, is known for its dynamic and innovative approach in the fashion industry. Our engineering team is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies and solutions to drive our fashion brands forward. You will be leading a talented team of engineers to build and enhance the brand-new digital platform. Your role involves strategic planning, high-level decision-making, and hands-on development to deliver robust, efficient, and scalable solutions.

Timezone requirements: European time.

Client team: large project, multiple scrum teams involved. Mostly based in Europe.

Technologies: Spring-Boot, GraphQL, GitHub, Azure, JUnit, Prometheus, opentracing, Java, Kafka, Maven, OpenShift, React, Jest, React testing library, Cypress, JavaScript, TypeScript, Docker, Kotlin, Swift, sonar, JFrog, capacitor, HTML, Karate, Newman, Postman, Terraform, Mockito, OpenAPI.

Required Qualifications:Extensive experience in technical leadership within a cloud-centric environment;Proficiency in Spring Boot, Java, Maven, and related technologies;Strong background in microservices architecture, Domain-Driven Design, and API-first development;Experience in managing and deploying applications on Openshift/Kubernetes;Familiarity with testing frameworks and observability tools;Proficient in CI/CD practices and tools like GitHub, JFrog, Sonar, etc;Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with frontend development technologies like React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML;Knowledge of additional tools such as Karate, Newman, Postman, Capacitor, and others;Familiarity with Agile methodologies and their practical application;Continuous learning attitude towards emerging technologies and methodologies.Responsibilities:Design and implement systems with high availability and subject to high concurrency;Ensure the availability and resilience of services that contribute to the development of the company's business;Communicate ideas, new methods, or technologies with the goal of improving the current technological stack;Actively and constantly participate in the design and development of APIs;Ensure the quality of development and cleanliness of code (Clean Code) by participating in pull requests;Stay up-to-date with technologies, especially those associated with e-commerce. Identify new trends that can be used to achieve maximum results;Mentor the development team you will lead, helping the team grow;Work as a team and hand in hand with the Product Owner in estimating and prioritizing user stories for the product you build together;Comply with all project and company guidelines and standards and ensure that the team is doing the same;Constantly motivate and encourage the team, which will have to achieve high-quality standards;Ensure the success and quality of delivered solutions;Fulfill all commitments by timely closure of deliverables.
