The Visa Leadership Associate (VLA) is an 24-month program with four - six month rotations through Visa’s functions. The VLA program supports Visa’s mission to build a strong entry level pipeline of talent with cross-functional knowledge and experience. Associates rotate through various parts of the business, including but not limited to: Business Development, Product, Consulting, Marketing, Client Services to name a few. In addition to meaningful rotations, Associates are given training & development, mentoring, networking and leadership exposure.

Sample rotational Assignments include:

Business Development:

Everyone at Visa works with one goal in mind – making sure that Visa is the best way to pay and be paid, for everyone everywhere. The business development team drives the country strategy and its objectives by identifying, leading and executing, through analytics, data and market intelligence, on opportunities to drive business growth for Visa and its clients. The purpose of this role is to provide support to the team, assisting with client requests with the purpose to grow Visa share of business.

Some things you might work on during your Business Development rotation include:

• Prepare client facing discussion materials for meetings and other client engagements
• Work with Front-line Business Development Colleagues to propose options for solving client defined problem statements
• Engage multiple functional teams to contribute to the Front-line’s preparation for client pitches, strategy days, Business reviews and feedback on live projects.
• Prepare internal documentation for approval submission for licensing, certification and other Visa service enablement.
• Research Visa Solutions to help find appropriate referenced content for use during internal awareness or client facing sessions.
• Prepare weekly or other periodic action list updates for portfolio’s personal actions by due dates.
• Update sales pipelines in partnership with the Front-line leads on a timely basis with the required business and commercial information on Visa systems
• Regularly attend client session with Front-line leads to gain insights and understanding of the client needs, trends and associated Visa offerings that solve for these client needs.
• Build healthy internal relationships with the Solutions, Clients Services, Project, Marketing and other functional teams as teamwork in Visa is a key enabler.
• Analyze and review client revenue reports to assist and highlight portfolio leads with the trends in their portfolios.
• Participate in team events and social impact activities to contribute to Visa’s impact in the local market.

Product:

Visa’s Global Product Team is responsible for all aspects of product strategy and development in consumer and business products that drive revenue growth for Visa. The team develops new channel solutions and technology support, builds alliances and solutions for new products, and is responsible for product analytics. Products include Visa’s prepaid cards, Visa Signature, Verified by Visa, and others. The scope of the role requires a level of interaction and collaboration with business and technical resources across the company, including digital development platform, network processing, client support services, risk, legal, and operations.

Some things you might work on during your Product rotation include:

• Adapt client-facing materials for specific client engagements.
• Perform Market research and competitor product analysis.
• Performing exploratory analysis and data mining on large datasets based on business hypothesis.
• Performing ad hoc analysis, business Intelligence requests and data extractions.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders and clients to understand local requirements, adapt products as required and manage programs to establish and grow new product solutions
• Recommend improvements and enhancements to product capabilities to product managers in the product development stream to accelerate adoption with key stakeholders in key marketplaces/segments/regions

Client Services:

The global client support group works with locally deployed client service experts to develop and deliver the support model for Visa Inc. issuers, acquirers, processors and merchants worldwide. This includes day-to-day operations and product support, specialized help desks, back office support and customer performance reporting.

Some things you might work on during your CS rotation include:

• Ensure operational support is provided to Clients. Client queries cover a broad range of topics including Operating Regulations, settlement, VisaNet systems, testing requirements etc
• Serve as an escalation point for clients’ day-to-day technical operational support of all VisaNet products, services, processing questions and issues.
• Maintain relationships with Clients to understand local market needs and trends and gain insight on the need to enhance the support approach provided.
• Coordinate with other Visa teams to expedite the resolution and implementation of solutions to ensure that all Visa products and services operate at the highest level of performance.
• Provide operational and technical support for service interruption events
• Provide customer support services during the implementation process. Provide regular client engagement and project status updates during the project implementation process by way of calls, meetings and emails.
• Project administration: Maintaining and updating project plans, archiving/storing project documentation and artefacts in VCSA, project tracking & reporting on overall project progress (to clients and internal teams), coordinating and tracking of internal VISA teams’ project work streams, raising service requests to internal VISA teams and ensuring accurate project billing
• Support the Visa Business Development team and provide the appropriate parties with regular status reports on project progress

Marketing:

Visa Marketing, works with Visa’s clients (banks, merchants, government and fintech) to drive business by developing marketing activities leveraging Visa’s global marketing assets, local partnerships and unique market insights. This is in addition to driving Visa lead promotions that drive Visa transactions and highlight payment technology and innovation. Visa Marketing works with all Visa functions and engages with 3rd party agency partners to deliver these campaigns

Some things you might work on during your Marketing rotation include:

• Contribute to developing client partnerships by providing marketing support including marketing analysis, insight development and campaign activities to assist clients to drive their Visa portfolio growth
• Work with the Business teams to convert client marketing incentives into tailor-made co-marketing campaigns to drive Visa and client priorities including but not limited to acquisition, usage and cross border
• Determine best use of Visa assets aligned with client strategies to optimal outcome for Visa
• Continually monitor existing and potential competitor marketing activities to identify new opportunities or highlight potential causes for business concern. 
• Provide local market insights and propose solutions/partnerships along with digital media strategies to drive business outcomes

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA):

VCA is the payments consulting arm of Visa, focused on serving Visa’s clients and partners. We offer consulting and analytics services across different areas of interest to our clients including strategy, product, portfolio management, risk, digital and more.

Within VCA, we have a dedicated Data Science team who are passionate about statistics, advanced analytics and machine learning with best-in-class access to insights from VisaNet, one of the largest payment networks in the world.

Some things you might work on during your VCA rotation include:

• Prepare client project proposals, clarifying objectives, scope, deliverables, approach, dependencies, roles and responsibilities
• Oversee project setup including (but not limited to) hypothesis testing, data insight gathering, formulating methodologies and strategies
• Develop fact base by undertaking client interviewing, collecting and analyzing inputs such as client data, process flows, policies, competitive, industry and environmental information
• Identify solutions and recommendations that address client objectives and result in performance improvement; demonstrate relevant Visa Consulting & Analytics methodologies, frameworks and global standard methodologies
• Design and deliver compelling presentations to illustrate findings, ideas, and recommendations within consulting engagements

• Currently In a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program (Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Econometrics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering)
• Complete Qualification by June 2026 (graduates from June 2024 – June 2026 are welcome to apply)
• Must be available to pursue a full-time role in September 2026
• Excellent analytical abilities, intellectually curiosity and interest in finding new ways to do things
