Major/Essential Functions

Is a non-tenure position providing didactic or clinical teaching support for the Accelerated BSN Program.Reports directly to the Accelerated BSN Program Director.Assists with didactic and clinical instruction and/or evaluation in a specified clinical area or in the simulation lab, as assigned.Provides feedback to faculty regarding student performance and learning achievements.Provides subject matter expertise on course content, as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned to support the academic mission of the Health Sciences Center and the School of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Nursing.Minimum of 2 years perinatal experience required for clinical teaching role.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.Minimum of 2 years of experience in baccalaureate nursing education preferred to teach at the baccalaureate level.Minimum of 2 years clinical experience required for clinical teaching roles.
