We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Golang to join a fast-growing, globally distributed engineering team. In this role, you’ll build and optimize the backend systems powering advanced data pipelines and large-scale distributed applications. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust, scalable microservices while improving system efficiency and reliability. Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain core backend components and data pipelines supporting high-traffic distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver elegant and reliable solutions for complex technical challenges.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and conduct code reviews to ensure overall code quality.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, propose new features, and influence product direction through technical insight.
• Continuously monitor and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.
• Dedicate time to improving system health, refactoring legacy components, and reducing technical debt.
• Participate in team planning sessions, providing feedback and identifying potential challenges early in the development cycle.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience with Go, Java, Rust, or Python, including at least 3 years of commercial Golang experience.
• Proven experience building and maintaining distributed, high-load systems and large-scale data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases; experience with PostgreSQL and ClickHouse is a plus.
• Solid experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and modern DevOps frameworks.
• Strong analytical and optimization skills, with a focus on performance tuning and benchmarking.
• Self-motivated, organized, and proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Bonus: experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering tools (Spark, Trino, Iceberg, Parquet).
