Background
iMMAP Inc. implements a Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) project funded by the US Department of State Office for Weapon Removal and Abatement (WRA) with the purpose of monitoring and verifying U.S. funded Conventional Weapons Destruction activities in Ukraine at regularly scheduled intervals to confirm the accuracy of PM/WRA implementing partners' reports and the compliance with the terms and conditions of their respective agreements or contracts.
Description of Duties
The M&E/ Data Visualiztion Specialist is responsible for all assigned tasks by the Project Manager as follows:
· Design and implementation of monitoring tools and indicators, ensuring alignment with project objectives and M&E frameworks.
· Data cleaning, analysis, and visualization, including the creation of dashboards, charts, and maps to support evidence-based decision-making.
· Develop and implement assessments, studies, surveys and data collection methodologies.
· Development of reporting templates and infographics to effectively communicate key findings to internal and external stakeholders.
· Collaboration with field teams to validate collected data, ensure accuracy, and enhance the reliability of monitoring results.
· Close monitoring of the data collection process during the project. This includes field visits for data collection and validation through post-distribution monitoring, focus group discussions and key informant interviews.
· Conduct internal quality assurance and quality control to ensure integrity of M&E data collection.
· Ensure regularly update, relevant monitoring and tracking tools and share with IMO for consolidation.
· Assist Project Manager in training and nurturing Teams on the monitoring and verification process required.
· Analyze output of the monitoring and evaluation processes to include comparative performance indicators and benchmarks derived from other operating organizations in Ukraine to aid in accurately gauging IP’s performance and risk, and to identify areas requiring improvement.
· Conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control to ensure the integrity of M&E data collection during the site visits.
· Assist the Project Manager in the development of M&E training packages and conducting different training level for Teams.
· Monitoring results, in-country evaluation reports and numerous additional data, that can be used by the Teams to determine the effectiveness and impact of the program since its inception.
· Complete additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager.
Requirements
Required Competencies & Knowledge:
· Proven experience in designing and implementing monitoring tools and indicators, ensuring alignment with project objectives, logframes, and M&E frameworks.
· Strong analytical skills, including the ability to clean, analyze, and visualize data using dashboards, charts, and maps.
· Ability to analyze M&E outputs, draw comparisons with sectoral benchmarks, and assess partner performance and operational risks.
· Capacity to produce coherent, good quality reports and engaging infographics.
· Knowledge and understanding of mine action mandates and operations.
· General computer skills (use of MS Office package) and familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, QGIS, KoboToolbox) is an asset.
· High level of motivation and proactivity
· Ability to work under pressure and long hours at different locations.
· Flexible and adaptable to any situation.
· Self-reliant and able to work independently
Academic Qualifications/Experience/Language
· Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, humanitarian and/or development studies, or relevant field
· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within the M&E.
· Previous experience in either program implementation, coordination, analysis or monitoring and evaluation essential
· Experience in working in complex and volatile contexts
· Good working knowledge of English (written and spoken)
