ROLE PURPOSE:
The post-holder will work with staff throughout Save the Children and a wide range of external actors, including local communities and partners, to ensure Save the Children’s humanitarian response in Ukraine is effectively presented both nationally and regionally to the general public. This will be done through the development of information and communication products and the building of robust relationships with media representatives.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Communications
Ensure that all communications products are of a high quality and conform to standards and procedures, including brand guidelines and child safeguarding. In cooperation with communication teams in the field, the post-holder will support timely and high-quality donor reporting. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather stories, photos, videos, testimonials, and project updates. Maintain an organized archive of multimedia content (images, videos, interviews, and reports). Schedule and conduct interviews with staff, beneficiaries, and partners as needed for communication materials. Coordinate with field teams or external contributors to ensure timely and quality content submissions.Content Production and Post-Production
Assist in editing and reviewing written, visual, and video content for various platforms (social media platforms, website, newsletters, etc.). Support basic post-production tasks such as photo selection, caption writing, proofreading, and minor video edits (, trimming, subtitling). Liaise with designers, videographers, and editors to ensure content meets brand guidelines and deadlines.Internal communications and information-sharing
Support to a system of regular information dissemination support production of information documents and publications for the Ukraine Country Office program and internal stakeholders. Work with the Communications Manager and area officers to ensure the cascading of information from the top-down and the bottom-up channelling of information. Support internal communication processes as required. Support the development of newsletters and situation reports.General

University degree or equivalent experience in media, communications, graphic design or similar discipline relevant to the role.EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
High level of both spoken and written English and Ukrainian At least three years of professional experience in communications, multimedia, journalism, media or external communications work in an INGO or media setting Experience supporting content creation, collection, or post-production (, editing, captioning, organizing multimedia content). Ability to produce accurate, clear and consistent information and communication outputs relating to both programme support and humanitarian situation Familiarity with basic photo and video editing software (, Adobe Premiere Rush, Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, or similar tools). Proven ability to work with communities and partners to gather case studies, testimonies and information on the humanitarian situation and on programmes. Understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn) Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and track deliverables.
