Who are we looking for?

Drupal Developer with 2+ years of commercial hands-on software development experience in a previous role.

Key Accountabilities:

Development of the Drupal 9/10 based Content Management System for new Digital Portal User Interface features and functionalityProduction and execution of unit tests as and where requiredEnsuring code quality is maintained for products and services delivered by the team the Software Engineer is working withEnsuring that CMS features and functionality adhere to agreed corporate and product UX standards and design guidelinesEnsuring that all products and services have agreed levels of automated test coverage, in line with product requirements and adhering to agreed architectural and technology (including security) standardsActive participant in reviews for products and servicesContributing to detailed release documentationMaintenance of relevant technical sections of the internal Knowledge Base

Key Responsibilities:

Work as part of a self-organising Agile team to develop new features and functionality for high-volume, large-scale betting websitesDesign solutions that are modular, scalable, extendable and portableWork with Product Owners and designers to create a great UX and * Content Management System to the platform operatorsProvision of structured feedback to “back-end” platform developers, to ensure APIs and SDKs are fit for purposeProactively identify and address areas of material improvement, notably around CMS and UI performance and code complexityActive understanding of solutions architecture and design, including KPI definitionAbility to input into high-level estimates of software deliverables for planning purposesSupporting the Development Manager, Tech Leads, and Product Owner to ensure continuous quality improvement in the development teamsEnsure that all team members have a clear understanding of the overall front-end architecture and design components, in the context of meeting product requirements

Qualifications

If you are the right CMS senior engineer for us, you will be able to demonstrate:

2-3+ years of experience in Drupal development (Drupal 8/9/10).Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery).Experience with custom Drupal module, TWIG, and theme development.Familiarity with version control systems (Git).Strong knowledge of Drupal APIs, RESTful services, and integrations with third-party systems.Understanding of Drupal best practices in security, performance, and scalability.Knowledge of Docker or other containerization technologies.Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

It would also be great to see these skills/experiences as well:

Some knowledge of ReactJS / Redux or any advanced JavaScript framework, like AngularJS, KnockoutJS, VueJS etcPrior experience with Drupal 8 CMS and the Symfony frameworkKnowledge of CMS taxonomy, User and Role Management and Permissions, AuditingExperience in designing and implementing CMS services for non-web-based platforms (i.e. native apps)Understanding of general UX principles for web applications, including responsive and adaptive design principlesA good understanding of SEO principles and CMS configurations for SEO related contentFamiliarity with tools such as as Gimp or PhotoshopSome experience with Node.js
