Data & Analytics – D&IT Business Solutions Manager

Purpose:

 We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data & Analytics engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in driving our data projects and ensuring the smooth integration and operation of our data platforms.

If you have a profound understanding in Microsoft Azure technologies, and possess solid experience with SQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Data Lake and Power BI, we want you on our team!

The primary duties of this role include overseeing and supporting either a portion or the entire portfolio of the virtual team's applications spread across various locations. This responsibility extends to implementing and supporting solutions under the Data and Analytics capability area across the region, requiring collaboration with team members to standardize processes, enhance productivity, and drive efficiency.

The role includes proactive collaboration with business stakeholders and D&IT partners. This collaboration aims to improve existing capabilities or develop a clear understanding of new capability requirements. It involves working closely with the Team Lead to identify and integrate suitable tools into the strategic roadmap and managing the process of introducing new solutions. This position also involves leading projects to adapt and implement centralized systems at the regional or local level

Your role will involve developing and rolling out solutions and supporting our Markets & Regions Data services area. Under the guidance of senior data engineers and Team Leads, you'll develop and maintain pipelines, ensuring third-party providers and external resources meet their commitments within budget.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage data and analytics projects within the IT departmentDesign, implement, and maintain data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies, including SQL, ADF, Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake, Power BI, and PowerAppsAnalyze data sets to derive insights and support decision-making processesEnsure data integrity, security, and compliance with company standards and regulationsCollaborate effectively with business partners to understand their requirements and provide suitable data solutionsDevelopment of relationships with customers to understand their needs and priorities by collecting input from customers and stakeholders; identify and propose process/service/role design improvements geared towards simplification and service level enhancementStay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data and analytics

Requirements:

College or University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field5+ years’ experience in the IT discipline with 1+ of those years in IT Management of Business Solutions/ Application teams (including people management where relevant)Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Azure technologies: SQL, ADF, Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake, and PowerApps Demonstrated experience in data analysis and modeling, data flow mapping, testing and validation techniques (must)Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar (must)An understanding of machine learning and AI technologies is a big plusStrong understanding of budgeting and financial planning processesAnalytical skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new/emerging technologiesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with business partnersStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailPast exposure to Project Management and Agile methodologiesAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentFluent verbal and written English
